Jim Porter, CEO: Jim founded HighSpeed Systems in 2004 with two partners and assumed the role of CEO. During the previous 20 years he held various sales management and marketing positions in the IT industry including senior management positions with Digital Equipment, ISM Information Systems Management, and Pioneer-Standard. Jim is known for his competitive nature and ability to build and develop strong management teams. He has a track record in delivering on his commitments and is dedicated to maintaining highly satisfied customers. Jim graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Derek Porter, Operations: As the company’s Director of Operations, Derek oversees the company’s daily activities and financial affairs. He manages the logistics of new installations and stays abreast of the cutting-edge technology the company uses. Derek earned a diploma in Computer and Business Equipment from BCIT and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba.
Rodrigo Otaviano, Customer and Technical Support: With a degree in Systems Analysis, Rodrigo has been in IT for over 15 years, the last 8 consulting for wired and wireless Internet services in the hospitality market. He was an IT supervisor for Gardner Denver Nash for four years before focusing on the hospitality marketplace. Rodrigo earned a degree in Business Systems Analysis from Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas.
Jan Wall, Business Development: Jan has eight years experience in management consulting with KPMG and Ernst & Young management consultants. He has another 25 years experience in executive relationship marketing positions with Fortune 500 Information Technology companies working in Europe, North America, and Asia. Jan holds an MSc. in Computer Science from McGill University.
